Requirements: One obedience course, Visible Fence, Moderate to Low Household Activity
My name is Max and no one knows my story. I came to BGSR as a stray and am estimated to be 7-8 years old.
If I could talk I would likely tell a sad story of my life before BGSR. As you can see, one of my ears is much shorter than the other. My foster mom and vet suspect that I may have sustained severe frost bite due to the ear damage and my sensitivity to cold on my paws. They also believe that I may have been chained outside with very little room to move, as my hind legs are quite weak and lacking muscle. The folks at BGSR are trying to strengthen my legs and determine if there is an underlying medical issue.
I am a very loving boy, but noises and a lot of activity tend to make me nervous, but not in an unreasonable way; it just frightens me because I probably haven't experienced things like this. I am currently living in a wonderful foster home with 2 other GSD's. I get along just fine with the other dogs but would be perfectly content being an only child.
If I had three wishes, I would ask only two wishes for myself; A loving, quiet home (a retired or older person or couple would be ideal) and a warm, soft bed. My third wish would be that no other animal ever be neglected like me.iframe:
