Hello, my name is Jewel and that is exactly what I am! I was dropped off at an Animal Shelter by my previous owners who were moving out of state. They could only guess my age because they really didn't care that much about me but my new vet believes that I am about 9 years old due to my great health. There were some really good people at the Animal Shelter who immediately called out to the German Shepherd groups for someone to foster me in a regular home. The rest is history. I am now living in a home with 3 other big dogs; I have my own dog bed, 3 meals a day, and all the love I can handle. I am a bit overweight and all agree I will benefit from weight lose. My first vet visit was great. I am currently on a diet and a daily walk exercise program. I can not wait to get back my girlish figure! I am getting friskier with every pound I lose. Currently, I play a mean game of "roll the tennis ball with my nose", while I am lying down. I absolutely love people and don't mind other dogs. I'm house trained and can stay out on my own causing no problems. I am so healthy that I am on no meds except for a daily supplement of glucosamine.  I'm an oldie but a goodie.
